协助动物政策和协议

 内布拉斯加大学科尔尼分校(“bet36365体育”或“大学”)认识到《bet36365体育》(ADAAA)中定义的“服务性动物”的重要性，以及《bet36365体育投注》中更广泛的“援助动物”类别，为残疾人提供身体和/或情感支持.  bet36365体育致力于允许残疾人士在校园内使用服务动物，以促进他们充分参与和平等地参加大学的课程和活动. bet36365体育 is also committed to allowing 帮助动物 necessary to provide individuals with disabilities an equal opportunity to use and enjoy University housing.  This Policy explains the specific requirements applicable to an individual’s use of an 帮助动物 in University housing.  bet36365体育保留根据情况需要修改本政策的权利.  本政策仅适用于大学宿舍可能需要的“辅助动物”.  它不适用于ADAAA定义的“服务性动物”.

I.  定义

The “老板” is the individual who has requested the accommodation and has received approval to bring an 帮助动物 into University 住房.

The Office of Services for 学生 with Disabilities (“残疾事务办事处”) collaborates with individuals, 教师, and staff to ensure that individuals with disabilities have equal access to all bet36365体育 programs and activities.

 

II.  申请大学宿舍动物援助程序

IV.       通过援助动物进入大学设施

A.        帮助动物

V.        个人对辅助动物的责任

如果大学同意个人与援助动物一起生活的请求, the individual is solely responsible for the custody and care of the 帮助动物 and must meet the following requirements:

A.           一般责任

  3. 主人必须确保动物在任何时候都得到很好的照顾. Any evidence of mistreatment or abuse may result in immediate removal of the 帮助动物 and/or discipline for the individual.
  4. bet36365体育 will 不 ask for or require an individual with a disability to pay a fee or surcharge for an approved 帮助动物.

  6. The 老板 must fully cooperate with University personnel with regard to meeting the terms of this Policy and developing procedures for care of the animal (e.g., 清洗动物, 给动物喂食/浇水, 指定室外救援区, 处理粪便, 等.).

  1. the animal poses a direct threat to the health or safety of others or causes substantial property 损害 the property of others;

  3. the 老板 does 不 comply with the 老板’s Responsibilities set forth above; or
  4. the animal or its presence creates an unmanageable disturbance or interference with the university community.

7. Non-retaliation条款

bet36365体育 will 不 retaliate against any person because that individual has requested or received a reasonable accommodation in University housing, 包括请求一只援助动物.
